Fasciablasting, cupping, and acupoints.
Our approach combines advanced fascia work, therapeutic cupping, and acupoint stimulation to support mobility, circulation, nervous system balance,
and the body’s natural healing processes. With extensive training in FasciaBlasting® and cupping alongside founder Ashley Black and her team, we incorporate specialized techniques designed to address fascial
restriction and improve tissue mobility. We also integrate acupoint therapy, applying principles drawn from acupuncture to stimulate specific points throughout the body. Rather than using needles, we can target these points in-office with cold laser therapy, providing a gentle, non-invasive way to encourage energy flow and support overall balance.
Fasciablasting
FasciaBlasting® works with the body’s fascial system—the continuous network of connective tissue that surrounds and connects our muscles, joints, nerves, blood vessels, and organs. Far from simply being “wrapping,” fascia is a biologically active and highly innervated tissue involved in movement, proprioception, pain signaling, and the body’s response to mechanical forces. Research shows that fascial cells respond to pressure and movement through a process called mechanotransduction, where mechanical stimulation creates cellular and biochemical responses within the tissue. Fascia is also closely connected with the nervous system, including autonomic nerve fibers involved in our stress response. Chronic stress can influence muscle tension, pain perception, inflammation, and tissue stiffness, which may help explain why emotional stress is so often experienced physically in the body. FasciaBlasting uses targeted mechanical stimulation to work with these tissues, supporting mobility and tissue movement while providing an opportunity for the body to shift out of long-held patterns of tension. Rather than saying emotions are literally “stored” in fascia, we view fascia as part of the powerful connection between our physical tissues, nervous system, stress physiology, and emotional experience.

Cupping
Although Michael Phelps may have launched a "cupping comeback," this technique is far from new. Cupping therapy is an ancient form of alternative medicine in which special cups are placed on your skin for a few minutes to create suction. People use cupping for many purposes
including to help with pain, inflammation, blood flow, relaxation, and overall well-being.

According to WebMd, cupping dates back to ancient Egyptian, Chinese, and Middle Eastern cultures. One of the oldest medical textbooks in the world, the Ebers Papyrus, describes how the ancient Egyptians used cupping therapy in 1550 B.C.

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, cupping is a method of creating a vacuum on the patient's skin to dispel stagnation; thereby, improving the flow of chi. Cupping is used to help patients with respiratory issues such as the common cold. Cupping is also used on the back, neck, and shoulder to help with various musculoskeletal complaints. MERIDIAN THERAPY:
I have extensive knowledge of and training in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). In 2016, I successfully completed the 100-Hour Certification Program in Acupuncture through the University of Western States in conjunction with Dr. Kim Graf of East-West Acupuncture Seminars in Ogden, Utah.

I practice Meridian Therapy which utilizes the knowledge of Traditional Chinese Medicine to balance energy in the body and address a variety of complaints.

Acupoints...needle free healing!

You may be familiar with acupuncture, but at Live In Wellness we use needle-free Meridian Therapy to achieve the same results. Instead of needles a laser is used to stimulate the same points. Lasers have been found to provide similar effects to needles when applied to the same acupuncture points. The session is pain free and uses a low-level laser that doesn't produce heat. Light from the laser penetrates the skin and affects meridian points. It not only produces the same healing results as traditional acupuncture, it also helps regenerate cells, decrease pain, and reduce inflammation.

Lasers are a fantastic alternative for people seeking the healing benefits of acupuncture without the needles. Laser sessions can also be shorter in duration since lasers can stimulate a point within a few seconds. If you're interested in learning what else this technique can offer, call the office today!

The Qi Pulse laser has a wavelength of 635nM and is designed to provide a “pulse” of Qi. This particular wavelength of light is very stimulatory in the body.
